We are pleased to inform you and your institution that the 12th International Youth Day (IYD) Celebration and Youth and Educators Summit for the Millennium Development Goals (YES4MDGs!) is scheduled on August 3-7, 2011 at the Sarabia Manor Hotel and Convention Center, Iloilo City, Philippines. The 12th IYD celebration is spearheaded by the United Nations Association of the Philippines and United Nations Youth Associations of the Philippines with endorsement from Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Education (DepEd), National Youth Commission (NYC), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and the UNESCO National Commission of the Philippines.

MEMORANDUM Circular 1 - NCR Regional Assembly and Election of Officers

Upon the approval of the Board of Directors of the United Nations Association of the Philippines (UNAP) through its President, Judge Aurora Navarette-Recina regarding the election of National and Regional officers of United Nations Youth Association of the Philippines (UNYAP) during the UNAP Board meeting last August 30, 2010 at the YWCA Conference Room, the UNYAP National Council through its President, Marlon Jef Pineda was directed to call for the UNYAP NCR Regional Assembly and Election of Officer. This directive is being implemented due to the fact that all elected NCR Officers were appointed as part of the National Council such as:

1. Ma. Kristel Georgia A. Mendoza – NCR Regional President - National VP Internal
2. Kristin Decima Pilar – NCR VP Internal - Commissioner for MDG
3. Angelito Francis Veloso – NCR VP External - Assistant Commissioner for Peace Education

In lieu of this may we invite all NCR members to attend the 1st Regional Assembly on September 10, 2010 at Philippine Normal University-TNRC 10 am. The program are as follows:

(Focusing on the roles and responsibilities of UNYAP NCR members
